The instability and uncertainty affect not only us, but the rest of the world. Financial markets around the world fell after the bailout was not passed and credit is drying up around the world. Here is what some of these world leaders are saying about our current financial problems.
Latin American leaders say the U.S. must quickly fix the financial crisis it created before the rest of the world's hard-won economic gains are lost."The managers of big business took huge risks out of greed," said President Oscar Arias of Costa Rica, whose economy is highly dependent on U.S. trade. "What happens in the United States will affect the entire world and, above all, small countries like ours."
German Chancellor Angela Merkel called on U.S. lawmakers to pass a package this week, saying it was the "precondition for creating new confidence on the markets — and that is of incredibly great significance."
European Union Commission spokesman Johannes Laitenberger said: "The United States must take its responsibility in this situation, must show statesmanship for the sake of their own country, and for the sake of the world."
Colombian President Alvaro Uribe blasted the world's most powerful country for egging on uncontrolled financial speculation that he compared to a wild horse with no reins."The whole world has financed the United States, and I believe that they have a reciprocal debt with the planet," he said.
What do YOU think?

I think that our situation will affect the entire world. We do need to fix it quickly before it becomes an even bigger problem.
I agree, that this situation will effect the whole world! Not just us! We already own a bunch of money, and I don't think that we will ever be out of debt...that stinks! but at least we can try to fix it! We already look weak and just poor...we need to fix this fast before the whole world just goes down!!!
I don't know how i feel because i still don't fully understand the bailout. It's too bad that the U.S has financial problems. I wish that already rich people wouldn't get so greedy. They need to spread the wealth.
i think that it is so selfish of us to be taking everyone's money, We shouldn't be taking more money now, when we already owe the world so much. It is our own fault that we are in the situation we are in. But i agree with the bailout plan! We need to help our economy, and the whole world can see that!
i think we have a big problem and need to fix it not only for us but for the world
the rich people need to spend there money that why we this problem.
I think that the bailout is silly. we are just paying rich people money that we dont have.
i think they should have figured something else out.
its our own selfish ways that got us here.
I think U.S.'s economic slump will affect the entire world. We help other countries out and we become the victim. Why are we spending money on helping other countries when we need help ourselves? I agree with always1stprincess: Rich people who are greedy need to spread there wealth. I mean seriously what could you possibly do with $1million dollars?
That our situation will affect the entire world. Because we are all connected to stocks because of jobs that we have over seas.
The business people responsible for this whole deal are just dumb. The Costa Rica president was right when he said that what happens in the us will affect the world.
That is right the U.S. economy will effect everything else we are a power house it's like a domino effect so we have to get our crap together and figure it out. FIX IT!!!
I think that our poor financial management is having a negative affect on the way the rest of the world looks at us. They are being affected and now our country is starting to look poor and unstable.
It is a waste a money, the people who are getting in slumps that's there fault for buying crap the cant afford they can take the consequences and get out of debt themselves the government shouldn't be feeding them the money.
the bailout will work but it takes time good things to happen but great things happen at once. the bailout is a good thing but it will take time there is no way to fix wall street over night but it will happen
Grumble Grumble Grumble...
The bail out would have been a good idea but i don't think we need all that money at once i like how they are giving it o us in in installments. Then the goverment wont be stupid and spend it all in one place haha.
i think the bailout program was stupid i mean it just created more debt for future generations to try to pay back and thats not right to do because they didn't choose it
i think people have to start learning how to manage their money. some people now days jest do not get it through their head that if they cant afford it they cant buy it!
