Sarah Palin, John McCain's choice of Vice President, is big news this first week of school. She is unknown to most voters in the US. As more details emerge about her and her family, we get a better idea of who she is. What can you find out about her? Here is one to get you started.

I think she's just a regular person like us and is going through the same things other families go through. It's not her fault that her baby has down's syndrome. Her daughter probably shouldn't be getting pregnant but it's happening to families all over America. I think she out of all people would know if she has time to be VP.
well if she can raise a family like that and be governor to, then i think she could help run the country also with a family like that.
I think that it is good that we are finally having women involved more in the elections. I don't think that she would have enough time to be vice president with having a 5 month old and having a daughter with a kid on the way. I would think her family priorities would be more important to her.
She is just like every typical family all families suffer from all different kinds her's are just known by everyone and i think that she will make the time to be vice president
She would be a good VP. She has had a baby while she has been governor and she has been able to raise her family she would be a good VP. The media don't have to bring in peoples personal life. She would be a lot better the Obamas VP.
I think Sarah Palin doesn't have enough experience to jump into the vice presidents shoes. It doesn't matter about her family life at all. I don't care about that. Politics is politics, in this matter her family doesn't count. I think it's great that she is trying to run for the first women vice president. She should get more experience.
I hate how people say "How will she have time to be VP with her family?" well how did all of the other presidents and vps do? If her husband was the vp candidate no one would ask how he'd have time to serve the country and spend time with his family. Obama has two younger girls and no one has asked how he's going to make time for his family and being president. I feel that children should be left out of the campaign because they're not the ones running for office. Things happen that we cannot control and that's what happened in Sarah Palin's case. I think she's awesome and has accomplishes a lot in her lifetime and it's super cool that she's an outdoors person.
I believe that being a mother of 5 is a job itself. If she became vice president, she would have no time for her family and it would be a lot of work. Plus, she has about 2 years of experience in a small town of Alaska? Being vice president of this country would be quite different. But, I don't think that the media should judge her by her daughter being pregnant...it happens to a lot of families and same with her baby having down syndrome.
i think sarah palin is a good canidate cuz it would be good for the world to exprince a change maybe if they are ready. some people say mccain just picked her to get more votes from women or whatever but i think that she would be good because shes more of a normal person and she will be able to handdle more things that come her way than most people
I think instead of focusing on all of her family issues people should focus on her political background and beliefs. Every family has issues. All of the other presidents and vps have had families to take care of and they did just fine, so what makes her so different? If she didn't think she had time and energy to be the vice president then i don't think she would be running.
I think that her family and personal life should be left out of it and everyone should focus on her and how she is in politics cuz thats what really matters..
speaking of that i think she is way too new to politics to become the Vice President of our country!
and most likely President because McCain is ancient and will die in less than four years.
I think everyone should leave the pregnant girl alone, cause she is only 17 and why would she want the whole world to know that she messed up?! and It happens to alot of young girls and no one dwells on that! and that shouldn't even be invloved with the election we should stop focasing on palins personal life and start focusing on what she acutally can do for this country other than give us something to read about in the tabloids.
Not having time because of having kids seems kind of dumb. People make it sound like there has never been a candidate with a family before. It think there needs to be less attention on her all together; there has more coverage on her than any other candidate.
i think that she knows whether or not she can handle the job. her family should be left out.
her daughter having a daughter out of wed lock just goes to show that she is just the same as all the other Americans, mistakes happen but at least she is strong enough not to let it get to her political career.
I think she will attract a lot of voters for McCain, just because she is a women. I dont know how well she would do though.
i think the press needs to stay out of her personal life. she would know if she is able to handle her family life and being VP.
i think she would be able to handle the job. if she couldn't she would not be running for vice president.
