Here are some interesting ones that worked in years past.
1964--Barry Goldwater and Lyndon Johnson-Barry Goldwater's slogan" In Your Heart Heart You Know He's Right" was popular with the Republican right. Johnson countered with "In Your Guts, You Know He's Nuts." Johnson won.
1868; Ulysses S. Grant ran for the presidency under the slogan "Vote as You Shot" He was referring to his Civil War victories and telling Union voters to vote Republican. He won.
In 1976 Jimmy Carter used the slogan " Jimmy Carter~Not Just Peanuts" to help propel himself into the White House. He tried to stress that he was a humble peanut farmer and a candidate to be taken seriously.
In 1940, FDR ran for his third term as president. His opponent, Wendell Willkie, put "Roosevelt for EX-President" on his buttons. As you know, FDR won.

These presidents are silly :D
But that's okay, they were good presidents, and that's cause of their witty humor and their awesome slogons! I think all candidates should be reqired to have a funny slogan because then politics woudln't be sooo boring!
i think the slogans they used made people look at them and see what they really thought, their funny and they help.
It shows some of the candidates personality.
they want you to see what they are like.
i think thats what these slogans are trying to say most.
These slogans are creative. It shows that the presidents have a sense of humor.
i think slogans help alot. they make things not so serious. it jest adds a little humor to everything
Catchy or funny slogans are usually more effective than some boring one. If the slogan gets your attention like that, it will stick in your head. These slogans help show the candidate's personality which is pretty smart for them.
This years election is nuts. Mccain's slogan is CHANGE IS COMING. I'm excited to see what is to come and what changes are made.
Those slogans are kind of faulty and don't really make any sense I'm not really sure how they could have even helped to win but they did maybe one of our candidates should make a funny slogan.
Slogans like those make the candidates such Mavericks. jk. They are creative slogans yes, but not really original. Couldn't they come up with something completely different? Obama and McCain both use change in their campaign. I guess they went to the same person to create their slogan. Maybe it was some high school government class?
Bringing humor into their campaigns was a good idea. Makes it funner. Yay!
The slogans show the presidents personalities. They also show that they had somewhat of a sense of humor, and the slogans weren't boring.
I don't know how these slogans really helped presidents, but they did. I think adding a little humor is good. Maybe the candidates now should have done the same thing to make them more unique and stand out.
all campaigns need funny slogans to make the average citizen see that they are Americans to.
Bush's Campain slogan in 04 was Yes, America Can. I laughed for like 10 mintues when I read this, cause its just amazingly dull, and makes me doubt his intelligence all over again. But apparently, YES WE CAN! lol its just super silly. Calvin Coolige's campain slogan was Keep Cool with coolige which is silly too. and I think it's stupid that both candidates have change in their slogan, then I get them confused and my head hurts then...not good! They both have to do with change, and change is good I think, unless it brings our nation down more?! Then of course, that would be bad.
I like the counter on the first one, "in your gut you know he's nuts" that one was great, but with out slogans things wouldn be so interesting you wouldt have a chant to say at a rally. it would all be plain wrong. lol
some of those are pretty funny. its seems like the funnier they are the better chance that their going to win. it shows their personaliys.
